I had some unused sketches for another project that I did way back in 2004, as the commissioner didn't want feathers on the dragon's wings. I took my pile of sketches with me when I went to visit my sister in Spain in 2008, and I made the pencil drawing for this new piece at that time. It's taken me rather a long while to get around to actually *coloring* the thing, as here we are in mid-2011.
