Here's the next semiprecious stone dragon - this time I used opal as my point of reference, and dragons of Thailand and Bali as my inspiration.
This dragon turned out *much* differently than I'd originally envisioned. I was going to go for golden tones with a small bit of blue and green, but when I'd colored about halfway down the scales on his neck, I decided that I really liked the way those blues looked. So I ran with it. I ran far and long until blue had taken over the picture. ...How it wound up mostly pastel I do not know. Despite my general aversion to pastels, I really like the way the picture turned out. So there. Two points for serindipity. Prismacolor pencil, metallic paint marker, Photoshop tweaking. Did you scan this or photograph it? Either way, I like how the lighting turned out.

Anyways, the color scheme is wonderful. I love how you make the scales shine, and I still love this dragon's face. Looks so cool. And the sun-looking thing in the background... Gorgeous.

I love how it's all shiny looking. Especially his neck and 'wings'.
There seems to be parts, nearing the end of his body, where scales seems cluttered, though. Well, to the right. Not sure if that's 'near end' or not P:
But either way, this is a lovely beasite and among my favourites of the four
