This piece is for a contest being held at the :iconpotterart: PotterArt Club.

The idea is to create an "illegal hybrid" of magical creatures (or mundane/magical creatures) in the spirit of Hagrid's Blast-ended Skrewts. Or perhaps not something quite so dangerous...

My beastie, the Six-legged Splendid Eclectic Firewing, combines the dragon sub-species known as the Romanian Longhorn and the Phoenix.

This hybrid was not created through unusual practices in animal husbandry, but through something a bit more flashy: Collision Magic!

All you have to do is put the two (or three or four...) beasties into the magical-equivalent of a particle accelerator, see? And then you run 'em around the big ring really, really, REALLY fast! Then, at just the right time, WHAMMO! They collide and fuse and produce a new, exciting hybrid! And you wondered how birds and bees really got on, didn't you... It's all magic in the end. ;p
