For these several pages of progressive coloring, I have completed the coloring on the left side of the image, then taken it step-by-step on the right side. Each successive image will show an added layer of color on the right side of the picture.

On to the secondary feathers with this one. Notice how I start out with that reddish-purple? That's to add some depth to the otherwise unremarkable indigo blue in order to really punch the shadows.

I also added the gold spots at the end of this stage in the coloring; up until this point I wasn't sure whether I wanted shiny gold bits just on the tips of the primaries, or on the secondaries also. Here you see I've hit both sets of feathers, and added a bit of gold to the tail feathers as well.
