Commissioned art for the daughter of a lady from work - a Christmas present.

Ahhhh... It feels so good to finally have this project wrapped up. I'm very pleased, and this is probably my very favorite project to date. I included many different traditional elements of fantasy, but did 'em up in different ways. My gryphon is a tiger/magpie. My sorcoress is a naga with feathers. My dragons are all intertwined, and my unicorn is PURPLE! Okay, so it's not THAT different, but I don't do that many unicorns... :-)

Between 40 and 50 hours of work went into this project. The final size (without matting and framing) is 15x20 inches. I did this with a watercolor underpainting in mostly blues and greens, and then I drew all of the details with colored pencil.

Simply beautiful - so much detail my eyes (and hands!!) almost ache in sympathy! However do you find the patience - just one of those subjects would have been enough for me! I will admit, my favourite has to be the unicorn....just gorgeous :+fav:
