Gift art for . These are her two characters, Bastian (with the feathers and scythe) and Suka (with the wings of fire). I did this for her as a big thank-you for introducing me to color-me-club - just in time for a contest. Which I won. So yes, she may be blamed for the veritable deluge of color-me art I've been posting over the last couple of months.

It's funny - I use modern dance photography to help me plan my poses and composition. The clothing is 1940's for the man, and 1910's for the woman. It's pretty interesting that it comes across as Baroque and Renaissance to your eyes.
This one was definitely challenging because of the nearly-entwined body poses. I had to wing it on the faces quite a bit; I had a lot of trouble getting the features to balance out because of the weird perspective.
I've not forgotten your Empress picture. I'm still noodling colors in my head. I'll try to get something down on virtual paper this weekend.
Oh, thank you!! I didn't want to bring it up and seem pushy or something. Thank you sooooooooo much for even looking at it! I really, really, reeeeaaaaallllllllly appreciate any help with it!
seriously, that's all I can say...in fact, there I go again...
I can't get over the amount of gorgeous detail you put in your work! You are so awesome!! THANK YOU so much for this!!
I've been using dancers as my pose instructors for several years. I love the almost unbelievable contortions that very limber dancers can do - while bouncing around in the air. It's tricky to get it to look right, though; even in the photographs it's sometimes hard to determine how the muscular anatomy is working when there are extreme forshortenings or odd angles.
I should probably... get one.
