When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

The Lockjaw concept belongs to
This is my half of a trade with the fantabulous ~beastofoblivion. I see a lot of Lockjaws, by both Allison and her acolytes, doing what predatory critters do best - hunting and killing. That's all well and good, but Allison has told us on several occasions that Lockjaws are a highly-evolved sentient race. They have a society; they have Culture! She showed us one or two little sketches of a Lockjaw who was dancing, and she spoke briefly about what their performing arts might be like. I loved the idea, and I decided to go with that angle rather than the "wild beastie" angle. So here we go: a pair of Lockjaw ladies are dancing and twirling about. They phase in and out of realities and universes, and this image captures them in a moment of flux - we take the point of view of a Lockjaw audience, who, in order to appreciate the performance, must also phase in and out right along with the performers. There ya go, Allison. I hope you're pleased. Ink, watercolor and Prismacolor pencils. Original artwork: not available Prints: not available |

Few people understand the psycology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you, he will follow.
