:star:  Corollary:  I will never do anything to anyone else's colored versions beyond appreciation and praise. They will be linked in the lineart's description, or in an Awesome Colorists journal here on DeviantArt, but absolutely nowhere else.

......................................
I've been drawing these guys over my lunch breaks at work. They go pretty fast, all things considered. I might break away and touch upon themes besides dragons one of these days, but right now I'm really enjoying the overabundance of detail that I can throw into these particular guys.

Digital PNG of a pen and ink drawing.

Colored versions may now be seen in the Awesome Colorists 7 journal.

More Stone Dragons, both line designs and full-color, may be seen in the Stone Dragon Gallery Folder.

I'm sorry I don't comment as often as I should, but I just want to say that your dragons are balmy. :meow: I totally love your lines! For a fun effect sometime, you could try colouring the lines in, too...like a gradient or something on top of all the colours. It might give 'em a cool crystalline effect. :D
In fact, if it's okay with you, I might have to colour in one of your linearts and play with the colours a bit. :aww: We should collab or something sometime! :D

Hey, I understand. You post stuff all the time, so I know you're busy. I use the inbox deluge as an opportunity to wind down after my work day, and frequently I find myself full of opinions that I can't seem to stop from sharing. ;-)

I'll consider your suggestion on coloring the lines themselves. Often, the lines are completely obscured by my coloring mediums by the time I get finished with them. Since I saved the crisp version of the lineart, though, I might try some layering experimentation. Thanks for the idea!

I'd love to see what you can do with my line designs. I really enjoy seeing how other artists color my work. You guys often pick color schemes and textures that would not have occurred to me.

Yes, a collab would be awesome. I'll stick a note in my journal and I'll get back with you when I have some of my other stuff cleared off my plate. Thanks again!

I post stuff all the time, and am an overtime college student, whahahaha... :faint: I'm usually so busy drawing and posting art, that I don't get a chance to browse as much as I'd prefer. :P

Of course!...to both colouring some lines and a collab! I bet the collab would turn out sweet! :D

Thanks very much. I learned how to do this kind of lineart from my Art Nouveau coloring books. There's a trick to keeping all of the horrific detail clean and clear, and that trick has to do with line weight. :D

you know.. in come computers games you have to download via cds, like fable, there is a program they have where u can make your own tattoos by basically copy and pasting the picture on to the skin that gets wrapped around the frame of the character. and these would be PERFECT for it!!

No, my work is the opposite of drawing - numbers, patterns, and technical writing. Drawing during my lunch break lets my creative brain work so that my logical brain can rest.
