This goofybutt thing is for the "Celebrate Snape's Birthday" contest over at ~potterart. I solemnly swear that I am up to no good, and that I'll try to make up for this with something more *dignified* later on.
Snape is among my favorite characters from the Harry Potter series. It isn't just because Alan Rickman is such a snazzy actor in the movie adaptations; Snape in the books is one of the better developed adult characters. He's not a simple creature; he's intelligent and cunning, but suffers a generous portion of self-loathing. He's one of those guys that you don't want to push around, because if you do, he'll probably hex you into next Tuesday, or turn your innards inside out. He's the badguy who turned goodguy, but you can't ever be entirely sure he's not *still* a little bit of a badguy inside.  ...What is it with adulation of the badguys, anyway?  ................................ Inked by hand; digitally mauled - er, I mean, colored. I think I may go back and redo this with proper traditional mediums later on, but I wanted the blasted thing OUT OF MY HEAD TODAY. You know how that goes... |
