...Because even Predators are cute when they're infants, and they turn their daddies into babbling fools, just like human infants do. Oh. Em. Gee.

Also, it's a universal truth that when a baby sticks its foot in your face, you eat its toes. I swear it's an instinctive response that goes right along with, "Did-oo make a poo-poo? Did-oo?? Did-oo make a poo-poo??!"
