Note: This is not a finished project, believe it or not. However, I thought the dragons stood well enough on their own to warrant a gallery entry *prior* to the additoin of the stuff I'm planning for the background.

This is all Prismacolor pencil over watercolor. It's taken me probably 15 hours to get those dragons colored, but I spread it out over a couple of weeks because it absolutely killed my drawring hand. But was it worth it? Oh yes. This is one of the most challenging tangles of dragon I've done to date. :D

It's tricky to follow the blue swirls, but the brown and red really stand out.

It does wonderful as it is, but it should look more interesting with the background you mentioned.
