Carpe Noctem pencil

Because I like to draw wings. I like to draw them a lot. And because I've not drawn a night scene in ages. Gonna have to see if I can pull off my psychadelic color scheme when the scene is lit by moonlight.

This is actually based on the Epic Fail version of a client's project. Because of the degree of reworking required for the second version, I decided to redo it entirely. But here I was with a perfectly good drawing! Didn't want it to go to waste, so I made heavy modifications to the characters and gave this first version a completely different background. The second version, which I have not yet posted, has a regular eagle, and the dragon is much more smooth and feminine. The setting is an islands-on-a-lake kind of thing, too. I'll post her version once I get it tweaked to her liking.
