I've been sitting here, staring at this journal page for ten minutes, and I still can't think of a single interesting thing to say.  How prosaic is my life at this particular moment!  Eat, sleep, hassle the mainframes, make art, read books; lather, rinse, repeat.  We'll just call this a place-holder statement until something I have something more interesting to say.  ;p

:bulletgreen:Here is the ART TO COLOR folder.

your work is unbelievable!!! I admire your incredible skill and patience so much.
I know your ID says you're a hobbyist artist, but your work is that of a professional! so may I ask, if you have got the time, if you have any advice for an amateur artist like me?

Thanks very much!

I'm a hobbyist in that I don't make my living through artwork; it speaks neither way to my skill level or the quality of my work.  ;-)  The reason I don't do this stuff full-time is that the market for what I'm doing is far too unstable for my liking, and I'm also prone to burn-out.  So I have a perfectly satisfactory day job, and I do art when it pleases me to do it, and I don't have to worry about being unable to put food on the table.

I took a look at your work, and it looks to me like you're well on your way already!  You have the basics down; you have styles you're working to polish; my advice to you is to keep going.  I learned a lot by looking at what neat things other artists do, and figuring out how they did it - or figuring out how I could simulate it since a lot of what I see is digital art, and I'm a colored pencil junkie.  Look at the work of your favorite artists and learn all you can from them.  Ask questions about how they did this thing or that thing so you can figure out a way to do it for yourself.  That's my general advice.  If you have specific questions, feel free to ask.  Send me a note and we can talk shop.  :D
Oh wow.. Your art is wonderful. Beautiful and stunning. The colours are so vibrant.. It's so pretty! :D I saw your latest picture of the dragon and may I ask you where you got all those precious stones from?

Thanks; I'm glad you enjoy my work.

I get my stones from a local rock and gem show that comes through a couple of times a year.  There's a dealer out of Arkansas who brings in most of the stones I use in my art.
You're welcome :heart@

Ahh, interesting... It's a really good ides to use stones and other things in art~ I use crystals and sometimes gold and silver flakes in my pieces, eheh.
