Greetings to everyone at the closing of the year 2013. The year has flown by at Mach 3, and here we are once again, ready to head into the winter holiday season and then on to a bright new year.
The new year 2014 will be an exciting one, as I have a new job that I've been working to land for the last ten years or so - I'm on the road to becoming a mainframe systems programmer, and I earned a place with my company's MVS tech support group. It takes a lot of work and a lot of reading and studying (we're talking reading and studying of multiple 700-page tech manuals), but it is one of those careers that I will be able to hold onto until I'm ready to retire. I'm very excited about it!
In other news, I'm still working my way through large-scale commissioned projects and the interminable Dragons of the Seasons art trade, so I'm still going to wait to open the art trade floodgates until some time next year. I don't have a date yet; it'll depend on both day job workload and art hobby workload. It'll happen, cap'n! Shameless self-promotion time!
If you're looking for gifts and stocking stuffers, I have all kinds of things for you.
I've started making very small prints - little guys matted to 5x7 inches, all part of the same limited edition series I have for most of my work. I wasn't sure the images would come out clearly on such a small scale, but print tests and convention art show feedback have demonstrated that I should have been doing this all along... The price for 5x7s is $10, and shipping is covered in the US. Outside of the US, shipping will run an extra USD$5 - $8.
I also have plenty of matted 8x10
prints for $15, 11x14
prints for $30, and 16x20
prints for $50 (also shipping-included in the US) of very nearly everything in my gallery.
I have two volumes of coloring books for the rock-bottom price of $10 each, US shipping included (the price is going up in January; production costs are going up, as always). Here's volume 1
and Here's volume 2.
Here's a thought on the coloring books: I'm willing to do a 14-print-plus-cover run of any of the lineart I have in my gallery if you want a custom coloring collection - this will be $10 until January as well. I have four more themed volumes in-progress and not officially available yet, but if you find that you want a printed folio of some of the new or otherwise not-officially-collected stuff, I'm willing to accommodate you. Drop me a note if you're interested.
Finally, I still have quite a few ACEO artworks
available. These are original art projects on a very small scale - the picture is 2.5 x 3.5 inches, matted up to 5x7 inches. They all include polished stones and/or Swarovski crystals, and sometimes other fun stuff. These guys are available for $25, US shipping included. Here is the ART TO COLOR folder.
